Terms of Use

Applies to compa v1 · Versión en español

Draft under legal review. Published for reference while review is completed. The Spanish version prevails.

What compa is

compa is an app by intCoders (Panama City, Panama) that works as a personal care journal: it helps you log your child's moments, medications, and appointments. By installing and using it you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.

compa is not a medical device

This is the most important part of this page: compa is a record-keeping tool, not a medical product. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and it does not replace the judgment of healthcare professionals.

Your content and your backups

Everything you log belongs to you. In this version the data lives only on your device (see the privacy policy); that means backups are in your hands too: if you uninstall the app or lose your phone without a device backup, the data cannot be recovered. We recommend keeping your system backup enabled (iCloud or Android backup).

Acceptable use

You agree to use the app lawfully: not to attempt to breach its security, not to decompile or redistribute it, and not to use it to record information about people you have no caregiving responsibility for or authorization from.

Intellectual property

The app, its design, its brand, and its code belong to intCoders or its licensors. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your devices; they transfer no ownership to you.

Warranties and liability

We work to make compa reliable, but the app is provided "as is", with no guarantee of availability or freedom from errors. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, intCoders will not be liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app, including loss of un-backed-up data. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights granted by the law of your country that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms. If a change is significant, we will give notice inside the app or on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after the notice means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
